When ZERO-ONE's Shinya Hashimoto was forced to vacate the Triple Crown in August, 2003, a tournament was determined to find a new champion. Toshiaki Kawada and Satoshi Kojima represented All Japan, The Gladiator represented the foreign side, and Hashimoto sent Shinjiro Otani to attempt to keep the belts in ZERO-ONE. The bearer of Royal Road, Kawada, would begin his fifth reign at Tokyo Nippon Budokan.

Semi Final: Toshiaki Kawada beat The Gladiator (3:26) with a face kick.
Semi Final: Shinjiro Otani beat Satoshi Kojima (17:07) with a Dragon suplex hold.
Final: Toshiaki Kawada beat Shinjiro Otani (21:34) with an enzuigiri.
