  • After Buchanan & Rico won back the All Asia Tag Team Title from New Japan's Mitsuya Nagai & Masayuki Naruse in February, 2005, All Japan was faced with a problem. Rico suddenly retired from the business, leaving the title vacant. After several months of deliberation, All Japan set up a tournament in June, featuring a mix of lower card heavyweights and top junior heavyweights. Indeed, it would be an all-junior team that became the 79th generation champions at Korakuen Hall.
